One of the reasons I enjoy about reviewing books is the opportunity to read titles I wouldn’t ordinarily encounter, not because they aren’t good but because they don’t fall easily into a category. Lost Animals: Extinction and the Photographic Record by Errol Fuller is one of these books. I understand why Fuller created this book.

Another danger to the species comes from lead poisoning as they eat the carcasses of deer killed by hunters ( source ).

The Barn Owl Trust places nest boxes on lands of willing farmers who, Darlington says, consider it a “badge of honour” when an owl comes to nest in one.

The book, which I have not read, that saved Derrick Jensen 's life is called The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability by Lierre Keith, who was a vegan for 20 years, suffered serious medical problems, and started feeling better when she recommenced eating animals. Throughout the book, Keith mocks vegetarians and vegans.
