My son (m8) and some of his neighborhood friends found a rabbit outside, and apparently it let the kids get close enough that some were able to pet it (I made it very clear to my son that I didn’t want him touching the rabbit). Any thoughts?

So every morning I walk into work and this rabbit always jumps out of these bushes I walk past. I hope it’s a him because I call him Roger. Roger will usually hop about 8 feet away but stay. I never try and get too close. So today I’m leaving work and I see Roger pop out.

I moved to an area with a small nature area that is for wildlife behind my backyard (about 1/3 acre with a small pond, trees, bushes, etc) and recently a rabbit has started coming into my backyard to snack on grass.

My 4 year old and I were on a walk and saw a young wild rabbit stuck in a fence. But I probably would have let the rabbit suffer, sad as that may have been, if I had thought there was any chance of getting my young kids seriously sick. It was desperately trying to get out but I could tell there was no hope. It ran away just fine.

Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. As the name suggests, they rescue rabbits, but they also rescue other small animals like ferrets, and other small rodents. They are undertaking a great project that sounds like it will be beneficial for both the sanctuary rabbits and the people who love them.

Even though I had to work most of the weekend, I enjoyed a few striking nature encounters, including an opportunity to observe a Cooper’s Hawk chase a rabbit across an expanse of suburbia. If you were wondering, the rabbit won this encounter. Corey enjoyed some good birding on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

A few minutes ago, I heard an odd clicking noise, looked around, and a ROBIN was chasing a rabbit! The robin was clicking and jumping a few feet on the ground over the rabbit’s back, then it would fly to catch up to it. The rabbit hopped down the ravine to the woods, so I saw the event for only seconds. Any ideas why?

I now have wild rabbits. Is there any harm to letting these rabbits live there? Now they're building new houses on that block and the heavy equipment has surely scared away the animals living in that space. My yard is across the street and is fenced and contains several bushes and sheds. Will they do any harm?

Rabbits have become surprisingly scarce close to home, but I don’t have to go far to see warrens of them, with as many as 30 or 40 in one field. Hare taxonomy is confusing, but I’ve seen Iberian hares in Spain and Portugal, Corsican Hares in Corsica (where else?), and Mountain Hares in Scotland and Scandinavia.

Carlisle is seen smiling in the photo and a comment on the social Internet site says the animals were euthanized through drowning. She's claiming it's all a big mistake.

I’d also be interested in speculation on invasive species similar to what happened with rabbits in Australia or the Burmese Python in Florida. When I say animals, I was thinking more of large mammals (elephants, buffalo, cheetahs etc…) but other animals are welcome except for obviously domesticated ones.

So I don't know if this is true but someone told me him and his friend used to breed cabbits by getting a cat pregnant by another cat because "they're most fertile after they're already pregnant" and putting it in a cage with a male rabbit, could this be possible/true?
