Anyway, India is appealing to its other neighbors which would include Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. They have been pretty frustrated with China, who really doesn't give a rip about tigers.unless they can raise them on farms for "medicinal" harvest and other capitalist pursuits.

A coordinated international law enforcement operation has led to the arrest of 25 individuals suspected of taking part in the illicit trade of tigers, one of the world's most endangered species.

Of the 11, India, China and Nepal ranked highest in the number of tiger part seizures, the report states, with India by far the highest number of Tiger part seizures at 276, representing between 469 and 533 Tigers. China, with 40, had the second highest number of seizures, or 116-124 Tigers, and Nepal reported 39 seizures, or 113-130 Tigers, according to the report. Very sad.

Birders follow different patterns of bird migration and their local activities and travel accordingly. But – where? It’s hard out there for a pheasant (in Nepal, that is). If a blustery, snowy afternoon isn’t custom-made for catching up on bird news, then I don’t know what is. After all, it’s not like I’m going to see anything other than the White-throated Sparrows and Northern Cardinals flitting about the brush pile outside my window. Better to get current on what’s happening with the rest of the bird world. To that end: More caterpillars = less reason to stray?
