I birded Uganda, which was my first time on the continent of Africa. Such travel brings a lot of birds and the 863 species I saw this year is the most species I have ever seen.

I had the pleasure of having four yard birds that are globally threatened or near-threatened; the Kaka , Stitchbird , Saddlback and New Zealand Falcon. The sanctuary is found by traveling south west on highway #1, which is one of two highways that go from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas, and our major airport.
