We were experiencing an earthquake and my elementary-school-Pacific-Northwest training kicked in and I jumped into the doorway. A group of Bushtits (melanotis Group) are similar to the Bushtits we know and love but with a black facemask. It ended up being a 5.9 earthquake in a nearby town.
