Basically, this species is so dimwitted, it doesn’t know how to survive. Because, Pink Pigeons are not capable of doing the tasks required to create and bring up children of the species. These endangered birds have trouble producing a fertilized egg and, even worse, they don’t even know how to build a nest so the egg survives?

Either that, or I see them in spring with hordes of other shorebirds feeding on the eggs of Horseshoe Crabs. Ruddy Turnstone is a Species of Least Concern according to BirdLife International. It is one of two turnstone species, the other being the Black Turnstone A. Eventually, with patience and persistence, I succeeded!

Why this one city alone would be named for birds, in this country of 1,800 species, is unclear, but it could very well be a designation inspired by the nearby Islas Ballestas, an uninhabited island group just offshore from Pisco and home to enormous breeding colonies of Humboldt Penguins , Inca Terns , Peruvian Boobies , and many other species.

The most common species we see are the Stoke’s Sea Snake Astrotia stokesii , Dubois’ Sea Snake Aipysurus duboisii and the Olive Sea Snake Aipysurus laevis. She has lived in the Middle East and the United States and traveled extensively in Europe. It seems like there is great diversity in this continent.
