While these adults were not banded, it is well documented that Bald Eagles are monogamous and return to the same nest each year. He blindfolded vultures to determine whether they could locate food by sense of smell, and also sought to determine if chicken eggs would hatch by the warmth of the sun alone, rather than from being incubated by a hen.
