So there’s this bird that made a nest and I got too close (I didn’t touch or move anything I was just trying to see if it was there) and the bird came out, saw me, and flew away. I hope I didn’t scare the bird off or maybe harm it. I’ve read that they can abandon their nests but I don’t know how true that is.

But what about birds? One enterprising New Orleans-area bird rescuer is doing just that. The bird was such a hit with residents that Kasia, who went on to found the rescue organization Kasia’s Ark Bird Rescue , continued the effort once she returned to New Orleans. Sounds like a win-win. (Or Or is that a quack-quack?).

The birds I’m referring to in this post are all flycatchers that occupy woody, forest habitat; but they are very infrequently in the same place at the same time. Birds built a nest on my backyard lightcam(Alerts are going nuts). when I did I realized I was being watched by the bird. It appeared that many of the birds that we had seen on earlier visits this year had abandoned the area due to the huge expanse of water.
