Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. The ones who would last until the very end would be lions , tigers bears, eagles and wolves. Cats would be the next.

Both falconers and wildlife rehabilitators have to study, gain experience, and jump through various hoops in order to get their licenses. For instance, you can own a lion in Alabama, but not in California. But in many states, any idiot with 20 bucks can get a permit to own a non-native, captive-bred bird of prey.

Incidentally, encounters with both aardvarks and zorillas are rare – it’s much easier to see lions and leopards. Lion – much easier to see than an Aardvark In contrast to East Africa, encounters with mammals while out birding in Europe are relatively few. We also saw a leopard, but it was the A to Z that sticks in the mind.

The observation that March comes in like a lion (yes, I’m still talking about this old chestnut) generally refers to the complexion of the weather this time of year. Luckily, a Bald Eagle soared overhead while I was leaving the flagship Wegmans supermarket, further enhancing the experience at this beloved Rochester institution.
