Internet Exploits Cameroon's Primates
AUGUST 25, 2009
Illegal wildlife traffickers provide fake credentials to establish that primates are being legitimately offered for sale. Their ads claim that the primate comes with "veterinary health documents, a "permit" from CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and a year's health care guarantee. Just another threat to already endangered primates.
