Unethical Photographers Bait Critically Endangered Eagles

Recently, a group of nature photographers were spotted using live fish to bait a family of Grey-headed Fish Eagles in Singapore, where the species is listed as Critically Endangered, with only about 12-18 breeding individuals left in the wild. A Grey-headed Fish Eagle photographed ethically.

White-tailed Eagle. Go Eagles!! Short-toed Snake Eagle. Ospreys have shown a remarkable recovery in Germany.

Photographed within Beljarica: five White-tailed Eagles by Snezana Panjkovic. These handsome finches breed in the far north of Europe and come here for the winter only. Two hundred metres further on, two young White-tailed Eagles were soaring. Fish will lose their spawning ground, otters and White-tailed Eagles will be no more.

The boat had been chartered by a big group of Mumbai birders to see a Long-billed Dowitcher that would make a most unusual addition to an Indian list. It turns out that the dowitcher was showing so well that the group had had a whipround for the crew to encourage them to stay longer. Greater Spotted Eagle. All was forgiven.
