Here is an example: I think I saw a Red-tailed Pennant, Brachymesia Furcata, two weeks ago in the Florida Keys; that’s my photo above. The Natural History section points out that Red-tailed Pennants hold their wings flat or slightly lowered, while the skimmers tend to raise their wings.
