In my opinion dogs would be the first to go. Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. Cats would be the next.

Cry “Havoc!” or a Birding Movie before the Birding Movie

Can you remember any birding movie before Schrodinger’s Cat? For me, the only “birding” movie that I knew of were the Dogs of War (1980). What made the story better (and a worse experience for him) was the fact that the cops had seen the Dogs of War. Finally, the Schrodinger’s Cat is, of course, The Big Year (2011).

While walking the dog I could hear Serin , Wren and several Black Redstarts proclaiming their territories. Interestingly, a bird of prey set off a psychological experiment. The sentinels of a Portuguese spring were singing. Mid-February is an early start for spring – even this far south – but spring is spring, and birds were waiting.

A True Mouse Anecdote -- does anyone have a similar story?

And despite their tiny size, they are supposed to be as intelligent as rats which I believe are as smart or smarter than dogs and cats. Note that neither dogs nor cats have hands, but both mice and rats do. Given that both dogs and cats can use word buttons, how interesting to learn what mice are thinking.
