Mostly I went because some farmers there keep a lovely dog in a cage, and I have started taking him for long walks around the fields. And the dog is happy. We walk our neighbours’ dogs during the week to our two local parks, which are Brolga Park and Cygnet Park. It gives the dogs a chance to get some exercise and for ourselves to keep track of the different birds that move through the area throughout the year. Having mobility issues, I still remember birding from a van along a rather productive dirt road in Costa Rica ( Broad-billed Motmot , Lineated Woodpecker , Cocoa Woodcreeper , etc.), Beside a rifle, his host took his two dogs. My daughter found a nest of baby birds. When she initially found the bird, it had few feathers and mostly quills. We discovered that some towels and a small space heater could keep the baby warm, and water mixed with dry dog food could be fed to it. The bird now semi flys, feeds, drinks, and knows how to bathe itself.

Hey, we were on our way to the park when we saw this bird hit a window of a nearby building. It's a pretty busy area near NYU so I waited with it and tried comfort it and make sure no bikes or dogs got to it. It looked injured like it couldn't move it's neck.
