Secondly, New Zealand had already experienced on wave of extinction due to the introduction or rats and human hunting. I contemplated how the birds were able to achieve such acceleration after sleeping all night without an ounce of caffeine. The person who named this bird apparently cleverly chose the name Yellow-rumped Flycatcher to distinguish the bird from the Narcissus Flycatcher, which is also yellow-rumped. In Chinese, this bird is called White-browed Flycatcher, which introduces some (possibly undesirable) logic into the world of bird names.

Most of these are very common birds which are widely distributed throughout Brazil. Woodcreepers, spinetails and foliage-gleaners are likely to feature strongly in any low or mid-level bird party that you encounter, so mug up on likely candidates ahead of time. Look out for the Howler Monkeys too.
