Either of the two was his Best Bird of the Weekend because when endangered species reproduce that is always the best! Around here, summer features festivals pretty much every single weekend. Tawny Frogmouths are actually more closely related to the Nightjar family. They breed after rain events and this was exactly the situation once again. The dam was very full and there were numerous species of birds present. It was nothing like the experience in September with literally hundreds of each species looking for water.

For most of the birders in our group, visiting the Taj Mahal was the fulfillment of a bucket list experience, and they left feeling ecstatic over its beauty. The species is crepuscular and nocturnal, but can sometimes be seen during the day. Dinner was a celebratory event. I left feeling ecstatic over observing the birds.
