My experience says otherwise (particularly with my childhood kitty, Brady), but generally speaking Masson's depiction of cats is accurate. There are duck stories and elephant stories and pig stories, but the reason we hear about them is because they are extraordinary. There's never a claw in sight and she's very patient).

For 9 months of the year, this great, bellowing herd can be found in the Serengeti and watching the long lines of grunting wildebeest moving across the plains is truly a remarkable experience. This perennial watercourse is a haven for wildlife especially during the dry season when thousands of elephant and other game congregate here.

It’s the only park I have ever been to that not only have I seen all five of the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, African Buffalo, White Rhino and African Elephant) in, but seen them all on the same day. Madikwe has perhaps too many elephants. Black-backed Jackals are awesome and smaller than you’d think. But they are very cute!

All in all, a memorable Malaysian experience. And though I didn’t see an elephant, they lurk in Panti… this is an elephant fence protecting a palm plantation. I can’t imagine birding Singapore without making a run to Panti Forest. Bats under a rocky overhang.

I do think that in my lifetime greyhound racing will end, circuses will be animal-free, elephants and marine mammals won't be in zoos, and fur might even be banned. The whole development of society must be slow and continuous, the changes incremental. ( None of these things will happen without targeted campaigns. What do you think?

Despite having 30 illustrators, I do not notice much difference in style, which clearly was the case with Robson’s book (or even with National Geographic Birds of North America).
