Once a well is completed, companies are required to clean up the pit, and it must be covered with netting if it’s open for more than 90 days.

I was far away from the duck but you can still see that it is bleeding heavily. With the duck dead in the water the falcon would alternate between perching on the causeway while watching the duck and occasionally flying over it for an apparent closer look. Scope to the left, there are three Ferruginous Ducks now… but what are those fishes doing? My first live otters ever (the only previous one was a road-kill)!
