The Hainan version is sometimes considered a separate species, in which case it is classified as Near Threatened. 36, if my counting is right and there has been no very recent split or lump.

This still leaves the user flipping through sections, looking for the species in question, though I don’t think there are many species with this habitat overlap.

Swainson’s Hawks in Plumas County

They are listed as a Species of Special Concern in Utah, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, and as Threatened in California. Each autumn, nearly the entire breeding population of the Swainson’s Hawk migrates from the temperate zone of North America to wintering areas in South America. v=Q7tVjohOIdI.
