National Geographic launches Birding TV Show

The National Geographic WILD TV network is debuting Aeria l Assassins , hosted by James Currie on Friday, January 20, 2012. Like the aforementioned animals, the birds are unpredictable and there is no guarantee as to where and when the hawks will prey. The viewer will just have to watch and find out.

Anhinga is a bird we don’t ever get to see in New York. This bird was lounging at the Viera Wetlands.

I remember taking an advanced seminar in plant-animal interaction, in preparation for my own study of human-plant interactions. The first thing I learned was that most animal-plant interaction did not involve mammals, or even birds. We should return to the issue of plant molecules and the good stuff they can do, vis-a-vis birds.
