Run along the same lines as the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, the site has had a large fence placed around it and the introduced mammals removed. Rare species, like North Island Brown Kiwi , have been reintroduced. I’m sure the upcoming start of spring made it much easier to spot than usual. New Zealand fantails were very common.
