Sure, it takes an hour to get there and I have no idea how I'm going to get 10 cats in my car or even trap 10 cats, but I'm still enjoying the honeymoon phase of the concept and reveling in some kind of victory I had nothing to do with. Here's the biggest feral cat I've ever seen, who looks like somebody's house cat.

I received a call yesterday from a woman who started a coalition for homeless cats. She said her Trapper Man could go to the Project Treadstone site--last night and this morning--and trap up to 10 cats that she would bring to Pahokee. She has brought over a dozen cats there in just two weeks, 11 of whom were pregnant.

This week we are going to try to trap four cats for fixing, vaccinating, ear-tipping and microchipping on Friday. cats, many of whom are pregnant. I'm not sure where I'm going to get the money for all of this, but if I do only a couple of cats a week, and try to get the females first, that's better than nothing.

Finally, it arrived--a medium-size bag (4.4lb for $22.95 + shipping) of Ami vegan cat food (via Vegan Essentials ). The taurine issue is supposedly resolved with Ami (not to mention Emily is female, and most problems I have read about not only didn't involve Ami, but also didn't involve female cats), but I'm still wary. What a relief!
