New Year, Old Cat

Critter News

So, Charlotte the Cat Queen is an ongoing saga. Tags: Charlotte In 2007, she was diagnosed with pyothorax and was hospitalized for almost a week. Then in April 2008, we were told she had terminal cancer. So we waited for her to die for about 8 months. In December, she had serious trouble breathing so we rushed her to the emergency vet again. She's at about 3 at the moment. Maybe 4 with all the meds and followup visits. Do you ask the vet to euthanize the animal? Do you pay for the cat's medical treatment? If you decide to treat the cat, how much are you willing to pay? 5,000? Whatever it takes? No more HDTV's for her

If you jump to the comments at the bottom, people took issue with the implication at the end of the article that Jane Goodall would somehow question this grieving behavior.
