Cooper’s Hawk Eating a Road-Killed Canada Goose

I had no luck finding any “good” geese or the blackbird, but I was fortunate enough to come upon a Cooper’s Hawk that had found a very big meal to enjoy, a road-killed Canada Goose. The hawk clearly cared neither about my presence nor that of cars whizzing past between us.

Second Bear Killed On Trans-Canada Highway

The second bear to meet its end this year on the Trans-Canada Highway has prompted an animal rights group to call for immediate repairs to a fence line intended to protect wildlife in Banff National Park.
