Horses have a good chance. The main strategy for horses is organisation. Horses live in groups. Would suprisngly rodents and small animals. They are quite fast and can hide in places predators can't reach like Holes, pieces of debris etc. So they can look out for each other. Not to mention their speed.

The New York Times presents us, this morning, with "Equine Alternative" regarding the recent discovery that horses decided to allow themselves be domesticated by humans for our mutual benefit, earlier than we had thought (3500 BC, and we preciously thought it was more like 2500 BC). The Botai did not just herd horses for meat.

Purple-crowned Fairy-wrens at Geikie Gorge

We have been able to observe Purple-crowned Fairy-wrens in a few locations across the north of Australia and they were quite easy to see in the car-park at Big Horse Creek in 2017.
