Week 16: South Africa and Kruger National Park

After a very long day of 7 hours of driving, 11 hours flying and then 9 hours more driving, we have arrived at our temporary home here in South Africa. The house is a four bedroom, four bath two story, with a deck running around three sides of the upper story, great for wildlife viewing. This pass cost us $3850.00

While much of the attention that Africa’s tourism industry gets is for its (deservedly) popular national parks and game reserves, a lot of wildlife viewing is possible away from the big name places. As well as birds, the reserve holds endangered species like African Wild Dogs. I mean education.
