These ponds and the larger Cedar Lake and collection pond hold Tufted Duck , Greylag Goose and Eurasian Moorhen. Strangely, the Indian Peafowl is not mentioned on eBird’s Hotspot list which shows the 67 species that have been seen there. Corvids are often associated with English castles.

On May 23, I decided to go up to Lake Cuitzeo, in spite of the fact that the lake can seem much less interesting after our winter migrant ducks, waders and shorebirds have left. And it also turned out, to my great surprise, that not all those migratory ducks had left yet. I have seen two Godwit species at Lake Cuitzeo.
