A surprise Orange Chat

10,000 Birds

We have encountered Orange Chats before in Western Australia, but also in the Northern Territory at the Tennant Creek Poo Ponds. The Orange Chat was clearly feeding on insects and taking advantage of the cow pats in the area. Some years we encounter Crimson Chats around Broome too and even less rare is the Orange Chat.

Birding just before the rain comes

10,000 Birds

This is the one and only road around Australia and offers excellent birding opportunities from your vehicle without leaving the bitumen.
