Reptiles that are not treated ethically simply do not make good pets. And their behavior is completely consistent with what we would understand as "animal sentience. If the FWC killed 35 tortoises on video, it would be on mainstream news. Their behavior is very, very dependent upon how they are treated.

Kotze said Jordaan had apparently doing "stem cell research" to help people walk again after a friend of his had been paralysed in an accident. He was told to rewrite and resubmit it.
