Five Things I Learned While Birding in Germany

10,000 Birds

First Outbreak of Usutu Virus in Germany

10,000 Birds

But I have been sick with different kinds and forms of cold since the beginning of December with no interruption, and so has my entire family. That is very cold for the south of Germany. Birding the Drakensberg, South Africa

10,000 Birds

Originally restricted to Africa, it is now also well-established in parts of Europe and South Africa. I grew up in a small town in Northern Germany. I was vaguely curious about the family name mousebird. Cute looks and adaptability as a cage bird conferring an evolutionary advantage. A pity I cannot draw.
