Why are most animals cool with other animals, but freak out with humans?

I walked up to it but it of course, moved away from me. Different species seem to be cool with eachother, but afraid of humans? Was walking today and saw a turtle. I stopped and watched it for a minute and saw a bird land by it, not trying to hurt it or something but just felt like landing in front of it I guess. Why is that?

Do animals understand that written language has meaning?

I've wondered before if animals can understand human speech at least to the point of knowing that it is a meaningful form of communication and there are plenty of answers to that online. But now i'm wondering if animals understand that human writing contains meaning/is a form of communication?

Those bears live in the wild and are not used to humans.

Of course, we humans tend to give slightly elevated terms to our motives – but that does not generally mean that they are really different from those of other animals.
