I just finished attending a really great conference called Focus on Diversity , The Changing Face of American Birding–which is an awesome event, (next year’s event will back up to the 2013 Rio Grande Valley Bird Festival so it would be a great way to get 2 awesome events in one trip). I wonder how many I’ll be able to add in 2013. I went to the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival in Titusville, Florida. We had a wonderful family vacation in Germany and the Czech Republic during which I managed to do a bit of birding. There is no way 2013 will be as good as year for me birding-wise as 2012 was.

Whooping Crane Ancestry
