I've noticed that self destructive actions in other animals like cats, dogs, horses, birds, etc. seems to mostly if not only occur when they're with humans as a pet or being captive. So what are some examples of self destructive tendencies of other animals in the wild?

The Latin species name is dissimilis (different, unlike), possibly because the female looks quite different from the male (though based on that explanation, dissimilis would have to be a very common species name). There are 7 species of them, and according to eBird, you can see 5 of them at Baihualing. Then it is tame.
