The Aransas-Wood Buffalo flock’s numbers hovered on the edge of collapse until the 1960s, never numbering more than 34 birds in total. By 1950, the Louisiana flock was gone.

He had mistakenly walked into a nice clump of buffalo bean whilst chasing a Singing Cisticola. Buffalo bean will make grown men cry and literally drives you insane for hours. Just make sure to carry extra fuel and watch out for buffalo bean! I’ll never forget the sight.

Week 16: South Africa and Kruger National Park

In the first full day, we have seen dozens each of giraffes, zebra, warthogs, elephants, 12 rhinos, 30 hippos, 3 Cape Buffalo, crocodiles, jackals, monkeys, baboons, literally a thousand impala, and at least 10 different antelope type animals. The African Fish Eagle was a great first day bird.
