In North America, that is. The ABA currently lumps the Mangrove Warbler and Golden Warbler with the Yellow Warbler (the IOC lumps Mangrove and Golden Warbler together but splits them from the Yellow Warbler that breeds in North America.) As you travel south, everything gets all higgledy-piggledy.

John Bachmann headed west to gather material for Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America. When the South Dakota ferret numbers began dropping, they captured nine animals in hopes of starting a captive breeding population. Like most maps, colors are used to indicate seasonal status (breeding resident, Austral migrant/visitor, Boreal migrant, etc.). Tintaya’s woodpeckers also nicely feature tree (and cactus!)
