Like the recently posted entry on birding Kabul, this isn’t really much of a birding post – it features just two or three really bad (= taken with a mobile phone; = I do not really want these photos to be associated with me as a bird photographer at all bad) photos. Then, lunch break near the river with my hosts.

You can easily get there via public transport by taking the train to Lara from either Geelong or Melbourne if you do not have access to a vehicle. I would advise allowing as much time as possible if you hope to walk all of the trails and to be able to explore the different environments and the many species of birds.

On our recent trip to New South Wales we followed up our walk from Otford train station to Helensburgh train station , through the Royal National Park, with another long walk the next day. Once again we referred to the Wildwalks website for another option that included using public transport, with a train being our preference.

To let the birds decide, instead. When I got word of the state first Couch’s Kingbird being seen in the West Village, easily accessible by train, I was up at the Olde Homestead. I told myself that if the bird was still there for me to see on January 1 when I got back, I would go for it. Or enough rides on my Metrocard?

Birding Olympic Park Sydney

Aside from that-you can go birding! It is very easy to reach Olympic Park by public transport and the fastest way is to take a train from Central Station to Lidcombe and then you take a train to Olympic Park. You then arrive at a huge train station that still looks new and you exit into a strange atmosphere.
