I can't imagine the trauma the older monkey is going through. Thieves have stolen two monkeys from an enclosure at a wildlife park, police said today. The female squirrel monkeys were snatched after raiders broke into the Cotswold Wildlife Park, near Burford, Oxfordshire, last night. I hope they are returned.

These are not subject monkeys, but they are part of the breeding colony. The last of nine monkeys that escaped from the Oregon National Primate Research Center in Hillsboro was found at 2 p.m. Nine Japanese macaque monkeys got loose Friday after their keeper left the cage unlocked and they figured out how to open the door.

It's a TLC show about humans that adopt monkeys and treat them as their children. Monkey business is big business in the United States, where some people pay up to $5,000 to adopt a monkey of their own, often a capuchin monkey, which can grow up to 22 inches and 9 pounds.
