The western section turned out to be the least productive, although it may attract diving birds in winter months. Waterbird-wise, the most productive areas were the southernmost corner, followed by the southern shore and the natural eastern shore by the Pirgos point in the northern section of the eastern embankment.

This section also offered a European Turtle Dove. If there were rains recently, this section of 0.3 10 km / 6 mi north of Baranda lies the village of Sakule.

The lake is also home to the Saw-shelled Turtle, which is easy to see from the shore. Saw-shelled Turtle ( Myuchelys latisternum ) My pessimism about the place was short-lived, however.
