For example, including falcons and excluding owls, I have seen 34 species and still have a chance at several more. With regular birding in the right places, the most likely additions will be White-tailed Hawk, Pearl Kite, Mississippi Kite, Bicolored Hawk, and Black Hawk-Eagle (should have had that one already!). Speaking of owls. :

My 2013 Birding Year in Review (With My Top Ten Birding Moments!)

The Mississippi Kite certainly didn’t hurt either but it couldn’t top the awesomeness that is more insects than you can count all making eerie noises. (It’s The Snowy Owl invasion and everything that came with it. Not only that, but I learned that Snowy Owls can fly ! Snowy Owl in flight.
