The lack of human visitors that frequent the area, is likely to be one as well. This time of year, the cleanest of the effluent, or previously treated water is used to flood the nearby fields that livestock will later graze on. The amount of insects that are prevalent is, I am sure, a huge one. This is where things start to get fun.

My dog is a livestock guardian breed so when she saw the mouse I just said to leave it and now it walks right past her too she ignores it like the spiders, I made sure she was well trained. He stops when I turn on the light then keeps moving if I put the TV on. I've talked to him and I swear he looked right at me.

Needless to say, human activities have been most instrumental in the decline of cavity nesting species in the United States. These Starlings were nesting in a huge oak tree in my friend’s front yard where there appeared to be plenty of cavities available for both the Starlings and the Acorn Woodpeckers.
