Or that tortoises and terrapins are considered part of the turtle family.

Rainy Day? New Hometown Birding Spot!

The boardwalk itself brought amazing, up-close viewing of fish and turtles, plus overhanging sweet gum, live oak, and bald cypress trees. Use of the park was low because of the drizzle, but we shared the space with walkers, a few leashed dogs, and another kid or two, all enjoying the outdoors on a humid Florida afternoon.

SeaWorld Orlando returns two turtles to the sea!

If you remember, SeaWorld Orlando had been caring for two baby hawksbill turtles that were rescued. They have now been returned to the sea off the coast of Florida! Watch the video below for more information and to see the adorable juvenile turtles in action! What great news!

The Florida FWC illegally killed 34 pythons and one 10-year-old pregnant Boa constrictor

New England Reptile Distributers just released a video explaining a terrible incident involving the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission). In 2021, Florida banned reticulated pythons, forcing Coffee to find homes for the pythons outside of Florida. He had a total of 120 pythons he needed to rehome.

However several of them, including 411 Wildlife Solutions in Florida, have agreed to be listed nationwide. Since it is rare to find an animal control company that actually implements it, AHNow only lists about 30 operators.
