Located in Florida: Today I was walking my dogs and noticed a big gathering of vultures surrounding a raccoon. At first appearance the raccoon seemed disoriented and extremely lethargic. I took the raccoon home. Need some advice / help. I assumed it was either sick or extremely dehydrated.

If you see a raccoon during the day, it must have rabies! Raccoons are nocturnal, which means they are normally active at night. The same goes for raccoons. So right from the beginning, none of this makes any sense. That’s where I learned that dog food and applesauce is the staple diet for all nestlings!”

I started calling her, patting my knees (much like you’d call a dog, for gawd’s sake), “Sophie! When we arrived we looked and there was our one-eyed eagle, eating a raccoon that had been hit. After a few minutes, she finally realized both doors were wide open, and it dawned on her that she could finally go. You can do this!
