My cat (who is 4 years old) and shes like my baby had started to become withdrawn about a month ago. I took her to the vets because i was so worried and now they have confirmed it is aids. I noticed that she would not go out always hiding in a corner and almost lifeless with no energy. They have tried iv's and all sorts.

My cats caught a bird and luckily I found him before he was harmed to badly. I really don’t know what to do since I can’t take him to the vet. He has a thing on his leg that says “year 2023” so I’m pretty sure he has a owner. He doesn’t seem to have any physical injury but he refuses to eat or drink. Will he recover on his own?

So, Charlotte the Cat Queen is an ongoing saga. In December, she had serious trouble breathing so we rushed her to the emergency vet again. It was a horrible night, but she made it through the night and recovered at our regular vet's. Now she is on THREE medications that seems to work and that cat is HELL to medicate.

I somehow became the non-vet, go-to person regarding dogs and diabetes, I suppose due to my frequent blogging about Violet Rays (left), my greyhound who has been through diabetes, blindness (then cataract replacement), glaucoma and retina detachment. I alerted my regular (non-specialist) vet of this and though he didn't treat me like a crazy person, he didn't do any research, either. Last night, my vet called to update me. I received a call yesterday from a woman who started a coalition for homeless cats. She said her Trapper Man could go to the Project Treadstone site--last night and this morning--and trap up to 10 cats that she would bring to Pahokee. She has brought over a dozen cats there in just two weeks, 11 of whom were pregnant.
