Birding Inirida, Colombia, a forest so young that birds still have no names, part 1

On July 8, 2014, the Colombian government declared this area as the Ramsar site Estrella Fluvial de Inírida – the River Star of Inírida. The trail is about 4 km long, and it leads to the Matraca Community of the Curripaco indigenous people that live in the forest and survive on agriculture and fishing. Then, there were the kids.

Saving the Drowning Cormorant, or the Kerkini Lake, Greece

When I came here for the first time in 2014, I stayed at the Limneo B&B in the Chrisochorafa Village and met its owner, Nikos Gallios. It was Thursday when we arrived and every Thursday at Chrisochorafa square is a fish-free evening at two fish taverns. Below legal size for humans is still legal for pelicans.
