They feed on insects stirred up by the herds, at times sitting on the animal itself picking off ticks and other insects. The following decades continued the great expansion, and it was recorded breeding in Canada in 1962 and Chile by 1970.

This is a Salvin’s Prion ( Pachyptila salvini ) The Salvin’s Prion breeds on four islands in the South Indian Ocean, Crozet, Prince Edward, St Paul and Amsterdam Islands. Oh, there they are.

Red-legged Seriemas , South America’s answer to Africa’s Secretarybird, patrolled the grassland in pairs for prey while C**k-tailed Tyrants fluttered over areas of tall grass with the flight profile of a toy airplane. Low, gnarled forest found along streams had the skulky Brasilia Tapaculo and diminutive Gray-backed Tachuri.

Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park is the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa – it was established in 1895. In terms of breeding behavior, starlings are a diversified group – some use helpers, others do not. It is thus much older than the Hold Steady song “ Heavy Covenant “, which was only released in 2021.
