After careful scrutiny of images, it seems that the Blue Sheep lost its footing as it tried to escape but in the process it kicked up a load of gravel and dust, right into the Snow Leopard’s face, temporarily blinding the cat. Towards the centre of the image is the young Blue Sheep with the Snow Leopard right behind.

You know, the Bison, Elk, Bears and Wolves. We had Elk right in our camp with us every day. Pronghorn Antelope are about as common as Jackrabbits throughout Wyoming, but this guy walked right by me one morning. Jeanne and I spotted four wolves sitting on a ridge just about the road, in the Lamar Valley.
