These guys are all different species and genders, tho despite that, they still coexist with one another without killing each other somehow. Anyways, here are all their names and genders. Frank and Johnny, father and son, both male : Frank is pretty much the leader/ringmaster of this wacky crew.

For example, you will find no one arguing for outdoor cats, drunk driving on a twitch, or rooting for the New York Mets. We are more refined, merely enjoying invasive species, thinking extinct birds are gone and you should get over it, and that those who like to watch gulls probably have a screw or two loose.

If it doesn’t find enough to eat, it might become too tired to watch for predators and be snatched up by a domestic cat or any number of animals that are always watching, eternally waiting for an easy lunch. Bay-breasted Warblers have to be careful. The Collared Aracari is a small toucan with a sharp beak.

With about 110 recorded species, the Kozara becomes truly magical place when the Danube swells and reclaims what is rightfully his. On the other side of the river, underneath the very buttresses of the Belgrade Fortress, with its 170 recorded bird species lies the Veliko Ratno Island (44°49’53.20″N, 20°26’4.98″E).

In the first full day, we have seen dozens each of giraffes, zebra, warthogs, elephants, 12 rhinos, 30 hippos, 3 Cape Buffalo, crocodiles, jackals, monkeys, baboons, literally a thousand impala, and at least 10 different antelope type animals. In the same first day plus a couple of hours, my Africa bird count is at 66 species.

It is expected that most birders will keep a life list, a glorious tally of every species which has crossed one’s path over the years around the globe. Yes, fellow birders, I keep a detailed list of all the species I have seen whilst I have been on the throne, peeing behind trees, or making like the proverbial bear in the woods.

Fluttering Shearwater ( Puffinus gavia ) Flesh-footed Shearwater ( Puffinus carneipes ) Buller’s Shearwater ( Puffinus bulleri ) Along with these three were Two further species, also both familiar to North American birders, Sooty Shearwaters and Short-tailed Shearwaters. It is also restricted as a breeder to the north of North Island.
