The Glitter in the Green: In Search of Hummingbirds–A Hummer Book Review

It provides goals and a definite direction for your birding travels and thoughts; sometimes it even becomes the basis of a book! It is also one of the photographs by author Jon Dunn that appears in the book itself. One of Dunn’s biggest challenges in writing this book, I imagine, was describing the objects of his passion.

“Understanding Animal Behaviour” by Rory Putman

This non-technical book is a development from a series of lectures, tried and tested in numerous adult education courses given to non-specialists. What I mostly look for in this book is how to understand those behaviours, how to interpret them. At some stage, a salmon-hunting bear at a shingle beach came too close, mere 9 steps.
