The speaker turned out to be Tim Laman, and the topic was the incredible research he and Ed Scholes had spent years doing on birds of paradise in New Guinea. There are three to four species on each page, for the most part.

Colombia is one of those countries that Dragan’s dreams are made of: it has 1,965 bird species – more than any other country in the world.
