Finally, the Similan Islands are perhaps one of the most beautiful islands in the world and form a stunning backdrop to this species, one of the loveliest pigeons in the world. I was a bit sad, too, that we had annoyed the owl enough that it felt it had to strafe us … my normal MO is to avoid stressing out wildlife.

Australian Pied Shags and the endemic Spotted Shag also fish the calm waters by the city, and if you are lucky you can see Blue Penguins as well.
